I am buying an Aud A4 with 127k miles. It have an exhaust, and lightened flywheel, new clutch, and some other minor things. Its a 1996, and has the 2.8L, now am I gonna get the 12v or the 30v? Now if i decide to keep it what will get me the most power? what woulod I be able to sell it for, if I do not like it?

 

Hi, welcome to the forum, make sure you search before asking questions.. the 96 and 97 2.8L's are all 12 valves.. the 30 valve came out in 98

 

Very little that you can resonably do to get more power out of the engine. Exhaust would probably be the way to go to free up about 10HP.

 

I'm just gonna buy it and sell it, and try and find a cheap 1.8t. The car has 127k miles, all maintained, replace all of the neccesary part, like t-stat, belts. has great paint, and interior. when I get it ill post pics, but what do you think its worth... 5-6k
