I have a 2003 a4 and I've had it 3 days now. Tonight i noticed it is making a beeping noise every couple of minutes for several seconds. Now both key fobs aren't responding. They wont unlock the car or open the trunk. When I manually opened the door with the key, the interior lights couldn't be turned on. I noticed I left the cell car charger plugged in but i since removed it. The car starts no problem though. I did some searching the best result was that its the anti theft control module & is been tripped into theft mode.

anyone? when I manually opened the door with the key, the interior lights couldn't be turned on, and the windows or sunroof don't open. When I manually open the trunk with the key, the interior lights come on, and I am able to open/close windows until I start the engine. And still, both key fobs don't respond. I read the owners manual and they have a process to reset the fobs, but that didn't help. I am a pretty savvy guy, so I'd hate to take it to Audi to be charged so much for something I can possibly resolve myself.
