Audi A4 brakes
Hello- i recently purchased a 2003 Audi A4 w/72000 miles that has extremely squeaky brakes. the problem only seems to happen for a couple minues (ie until i back out of my driveway) does anyone know what this might be?
Thanks!
Thanks!
The first answer is likely the correct one. If itis just first thing in the morning, and the first or second time you apply your brakes, it is likely rust forming on the rotors overnight. Common and normal. I'm assuming that you park outside and that you are in a damp climate.
then u either got bad pads or rotors. most of the time it's the rotors. chekc them both and get a can of brake cleaner and hsoe things down. don't use the brake cleaner when the brakes are hot though
I have the same problem and took it to the dealer and they said that the brakes have to wear down alittle Dpace22 keep me posted my have been squeeking alot for months took it to the dealer 3 times and they never tell me to change my brakes instead they just say wait it out they will stop squeeking but u will get pissed once they sound like a bus trying to come to a stop.. it is true thought the rust does create a problem because i have the same problem but when i start driving there is not squeeking only when i have been driving for about ten minutes keep me posted if u get it fixed tell me hat u did
if they squeakafter u've been driving then u definitely have a problem. i wonder y the dealer won't change ur brakes for u. i mean it's not under warranty. i'd thought they would have luv to have a chance to rape u like they always do.

don't worry too much bout it. it's just he rust that builds up over night and then it goes away after ur brakes warm up.
