2002 Audi A4 Quattro with a 3.0

I have done a search within this forum with regard to mis-firing and have come across individuals experiencing the same problem and have yet to come across anyone who has resolved what seems to be a somewhat common problem.

Out of the blue after the vehicle sitting in the garage overnight went to start it the following morning to be met with very rough idle and sluggish, jerky performance once put in gear. I have noticed of late that as the car warms up the issue seems to worsen. I have replace the plugs, coil packs, unplugged the MAF all with no improvement. I have run VCDS-Lite and the codes that I am receiving indicate random intermittent misfire on either cylinder 2 or it will just state multiple intermittent misfire. Rather than continuing to throw parts at the car, which I really cannot afford as I am in college I was hoping to gain some insight from other fellow Audi owners.
