i am in the market for a new car i have been looking at the new a4's and the new gli's what do you think about them (both in auto). +'s nd -'s ? modability?

negatives on both cars are that your getting an auto...

gli's??? not too familiar with them, but an audi is way more classy than a VW any day

 

+1^^^I mean negative, no, yea negativelol...Same cars when you really break it down. But the audi is just that much better overall.

 

both cars are nice, the prob you will have with the GLI is obviously no quattro. I don't know what your future plans for the car is but A few friends of mine (with GLI's) have a really hard time keeping with me through corners out of a dig, or in marginal traction. I like them both (unless your talking about the new GLI, i think looks like a corola) but I would deff go with the audi

 

which years where you looking? The gli is fast,much faster then the audi stock. Youd bassically be paying for the name and the quatrro if you go the audi route, but definetly worth it

 

Have you gone on a VW forum about this, they can tell you what kinda things to look for on there cars. I personaly know little about there cars, there pretty nice thou.

yeah it depends on a lot of things.. gli would be faster.. but you could always mod the a4. oh wait.. nevermind. get a manual.
i'd go for the a4 'cause of handling.

 

spend the extra bucks for the quattro. are you looking at new glis? the ones from a year or two ago looked a lot nicer i think. the new jettas kind of suck.

 

lol this is also my dillemma... i went with the A4 because its more classy... go with the jetta if you want to get faster, cheaper mods. the only advantage the gli has over a4 would be the 6 speed tranny.. getting auto.. nvm.

 

i would get the six speed to but the car is for my mom nd she will be mostly all city driving...how is the turbo lag in w/ the auto
