well a good place for cheap is ur battery. i bought a brail that weighs 11.5 compared to the stock 40 lbs for 150 bux. i also removed the spare, tool kit, front bumper reinforcement, and i bought 17 15 lb rims so each will weigh atmost 40lbs on each corner. that pobally sheds in the 100 lb range. hopefully im at 3k lbs or a little lower. i have an 01 quattro. i will be gettin a c/f hood and trunk at some point soon. id like to get my car to 2700 lbs
