audi help on Car decision!
Hey guys I'm sort of in the market for a new car. So i saw this A4 today and i decided to go look at it. It is a 1998 A4 Quattro 2.8 with 104000 Miles the guy wants 6500, it has some door digs on the rear driver side door and he says the cruise doesnt work (he hasnt looked into it).
So, should i look into it or should i go for this...

THe 1.8t does seem like a better deal, but it is also about 60 miles away.

Hey thanks guys, i think i may go test drive the 2.8 quattro unless i can talk my dad(hes a mechanic so he is going to check out the car and my co-signer) to drive to the 1.8t tomorrow. I just want to see if i will be happy with the audi a4.

What would be the loss of power if i went with the 2.8quattro vs the 1.8t?
Also, someone mentioned not very many mods. Does that mean if i would get hte 2.8 then it would be pretty much un-moddable unless i had a lot of cash money?

that 2.8 is most likely a 30v right.... if so the only thing you can do really is a SC and thats like 5g's and then there is nothing else.... the stockl 2.8 is a lil quicker than the 1.8 but with about 500 the 1.8 will blow the doors off the 2.8 and then it just gets faster from there

Hmm, Well I really want one of the two already mentioned. But its going to be hard to get to the one 1 hour and 15 minutes away, due to my dad being my co-signer. So i should really just try and get the 1.8t then go ahead for the 2.8?
trust me the hour is well worth the 1.8 the 2.8 is slow and expensive to do anything to performance wise and you will be made fun of by every 1.8t owner and then every 2.8 owner that told you to get a 1.8 cuz they know they fucked up
