Default Audi newb with some questions

I'm looking at buying a 1999.5 Audi A4. Its got 127k miles what problems should I look for. APR 1.0 bar chip, APR 2.5" turbo-back exhaust, 2.5" test pipe, Hyperboost Diverter valve what kind of power am I looking at with those mods? Also what would you all pay for a car like this in execllent condition.

First make sure the oil has been changed every 3000 miles and the timeing belt has been replaced. As far as hp, i don't know what you are looking at. Some where around 9 to 11 thousand on the price I'm guessing.

You might be able to get him to talk it down though. I bot my 99 with 122k miles for just under 8. It just depends how much of a hustla you are.

He said the timing belt was changed at 60k and 120k. He's asking 9.5k for it.

Check to see if the previous owner used synthetic oil. A 1.8t need synthetic, otherwise you'll cook the turbo using regular dino oil.

make sure the timing belt has been done. it should have been done around 60-70k and again at ~130k. it'll cost you between 700-1000. also pop off the oil cap and look for sludge.

no sludge-

sludge-

if it has sludge get him to knock more off the price or have it fixed.

as for the power its gona be around 200hp/243lb-ft, maybe a little more cause of the testpipe. and price is really dependent on your area. i got my a4 with 90k with a k04, s4 wheels and front bumper for $8250, but he was asking 10,000 to begin with. i wouldn't pay more than 9 grand for that car tho
