Default Audi paint pen? Advice?

I recently purchased a 2003 A4 Dophin Gray. It has a decent amount of small scratchs and some very light long scratches. Everything is fine when I have the car waxed, but after the wax wears off, the scratches are obviously much more visible. I just ordered an Audi paint pen from the dealership. Anyone have advice on how to use these? Any help would be great. Suggestions?

Thanks.

When the wax wears off you need to wax it again.

Have you tried a cut and polish? That significantly removes swirls, and the the visibility of deeper scratches. My avant is 6 years old and the paint would look brand new if it weren't for the chips. No scratches at all cuz I give it a good elbow dose of rubbing compound, and then a polish twice a year.

I have never used the paint pen - probably will never unless I have a scratch that is down through the paint to the primer.

Thanks. Not familiar with the cut and polish method. Any info on that? A few of my scratches are "white", so I think the paint pen would be my only option. Any other info would be great.

Yeah if they are white then polishing is not gonna do anything - you need paint. A cut and polish simply rounds the sharp edges of large scratches so they are not easily seen. Swirls can be polished right out of the clearcoat.

Let us knoqw how that pen works.
