Hey still debating which audi I should buy. I've really been leaning towards an A4 but sometimes it seems like the 1.8t just isn't enough power. I plan on modding whichever car I buy, and I hear the A4 is easiest to mod. My current options are a 2003 A4 1.8t, a 2003 A4 3.0, or a 2001 S4 biturbo. Obviously the S4 has the most power, but I don't know if i want to spend 20 grand, I'd rather spend around 14 or 15 grand on a car so the S4 might be unlikely. As for the A4's there everywhere, I'm sure I'd be able to find one easily. Let me know what you guys think, your opinions, the pros and cons, etc.. Thanks,

01 s4 all the way man, its by far the best performer in the group and it wont let you down

 

Deffinatly get the S4, it's so much better than the A4.

 

the s4 2.7t is becoming very attractive to many... however, you can't just look at the sticker to determine which way to go... you really need to look at your goals for the car ... are you going to mod the car a lot?.. if so, the S4 will get very expensive very quickly.. plus the maintenance can sometimes break peoples back immediately if they can just barely afford a used s4 2.7t.

a b6 a4 is a smart move, since the mods are way less expensive and you can now get pretty equal performance out of them with the affordable turbo kits that are out there now.

oh, and definitely do not get a 3.0 if you're into modding and getting more hp out of the car... unfortunately, there's very little aftermarket support out there for it, as far as performance goes.

 

Yeah the B6 A4 is probably what I'm going to buy. The S4 is definitely a sweet ride, but the A4 is a lot more realistic considering my current money situation along with college exspenses and what have you. Also I do plan on doing a good amount of modding on whichever car I get so I'll probably end up going with the A4.

S4 all the way, just with a chip it will put down almost 320HP. Plus its such a sweet ride already. THe one your looking at has the rs4 bumper and bbs rims! you cant go WRONG at all! Dont fuss around with a a4, if i had the money i would buy a s4 in an instant.

 

I know I was surprised when I saw that S4, considering it has only 60k miles on it and only costs 20grand. I don't think I have enough money for it though, I got a lot of exspenses in college and don't think I want to take out a loan if I don't have to. I think I'm just gunna go with the A4, so I'll have money left over for mods.
