Default Audi System Decision

I have a 1999 a4qm. When I purchased the car in july the 6cd changer in the trunk was missing. At the time the car was too good to pass up over a cd changer. Now I am in need of a new cd player. Now my question is do I go OEM with a 6 disc changer off ebay for 75 bucks or do I get an aftermarket head unit although I havent found the right hardware I need to match the dash. My car has the non bose system if that helps. The installation will not be a problem for me with the correct hardware.

For the people with the aftermarket decks let me know how you like them.

And do the stock cd changers play burned cd's?

Final question is what deck will match my red lights on the dash?

Basically, Stock off ebay or aftermarket?

All I can tell you is yes, burned disks will work in the factory cd changer.

pioneer make a cd player that have red buttons that matches the dash pretty good. as for the hardware the link below should be able to help you will just have to figure out if you have bose or not and if you buy the deck from them the kit and harness is usally free and don't forget you will need an atenna adapter if you go after market. the install kit you need is a metra 99-9100 wiring harness is metra 70-1784 and the antenna adapter is metra 40-vw53
