Default Audi Techs! Help!! P1545

I put my FMIC with 3" piping and I left a post about my car not starting, well I checked for codes and I got P1545 which has to do with the throttle body malfunction. I called my mechanic and he says the best thing to do is to reprogram the ECU because it might have lost communication with the ECU, he will do it for $80 but he says if that doesn’t work I will have to get a new throttle body or used for $170 but he will have to reprogram the computer again after installing the used one, IS THIS TRUE? What do you guys think, I did get the car running now and it idles OK but when I give it gas it is way behind and even backfires from the intake part.

your mechanic is full of it, the throttle body needs cleaning out so the butterfly valve operates smoothly ( probably carbed up a little ) then lets go from there

i took it apart and cleaned the throttle body crystal clear and put it back with a new gasket and same thing happened. its weird, it sits at idle fine but when i try to rev it it lags bigtime and if i hold the gas pedal down the rpms drop down anyways so i have to keep pumping the gas for it to stay on and even has a backfire coming out of the intake and sometimes as im giving it gas over and over some pumps dont even rev up the engine

well you mechanic just might be right on replacing the complete unit, my appoles to him/herbut things have to be tested before any statements are made which = $$$$££££ ask him to test the system by standard means like a volt meter

yeah, 3" piping, needed to trim down the S4 bumper i got but it doesnt look tacky (the bumper is fiberglass) and it happened before i removed the throttle body so im sure the gasket is not cought with the flap, i made sure it was secure.
