Once you hit 90 it's over for the Altima. I wouldnt recommend racing against that POS anyway. My aunt has one... the steering is so light, at that speed a dust particle falling on the steering wheel will cause the car to spin out, crash and burn. You dont wanna risk that POS hitting your Audi now do you?

Do take into account that he's talking about an 02 Altima. Those things aren't slouches like the current gens. 02-03 were actually pretty decent years.

True.. When I had my 02 she was fast but the car also cut out at 6500rpm and 180kph.... Nissan did this not because it was trying to limit the performance but also because they realized at a later point in production that they didn't make theirpiston rods strong enough to take the engine beyond those speeds safely. Personally, having had the 02, Altima 2.5S for 4+ years, I can honestly say that the factory engine is dummied down via the ECU. Everytime I drove it, it felt like it was holding back and I kept that engine in TOP shape. Never chippedit but but I did baby that car.
The 1.8T on the other hand is still limited by the ECU however it makes better useof it's power AND, it doesn't cut out at 6000rpm/180kph.
I've driven both cars HARD and to me the 1.8 "feels" faster both in acceleration and top speed. This, Cincy, is why I asked.

idk i drove my friends 2.5 altima and it was a 6 speed i believe, it felt way faster off the line then my car and could probably hold an a4 through the 1/4 mile, past that idk who would win but i can say that much. but then again a few weeks ago(when i still had my car
) i went up against my friends '06 impreza that had a wrx engine swap cause the first engine blew. now granted the kid wasnt the best driver and i schooled him off the line, but i held that car the entire way up to 110 and he didnt gain anything on me. so it really all depends on the driver. and i woulda beat him a lot sooner then at 110 but i have a indash tv so i had to close it to put the hazards on haha.
