Default Audi/VW

Hey guys i was looking around and i stumbled onto these charts showing what cars are more reliable than the others and sad to say but the audis and vw turbo cars happen to be on the least reliable side of the chart what do you guys think of this?

i find it pretty sad to see the euro cars on the least reliable side and the jap cars on the reliable side :-\

When I first moved to Oregon, my mother in law gave us a 86 Mazda 626 with 282,000 miles on it. 2 years later when we moved we gave it back to her and she put over 300,000 on it. Eventually it did die though.

turbos wear out, thats why they are considered unrelyable. also if you think about it you are forcing extra hp out of this small 1.8l engine and thats what turbos do, they make engines work harder , causing them to be less relyable.

yeh the reason i posted this here is cause yesterday i got really bit*hed at on a supra forum about wanting a a4 this guy was telling me how a4s are crap and how his Is300 smoked a chipped a4 (thats beliveable) and how his buddys a4 came out of the dealer with problems iono it sorta got me annoyed then i just said K screw it i aint gonna continue arguing with him. So i just thought id show you what people think about the reliablity of the audis/VW

They are fun cars. bu not the most reliable. It's usually little stupid things though. the motors will last just as long as anything else. it's more the mark 3's and back for the VW's. I think they hired a retarded monkey to do their wiring. My pops has had his Phaeton for over a year with absolutely no issues what so ever

Oh ic. SO guys what do you think was that guy right you think a Is300 can take a B5 a4 chiped with exhaust in a stright line? and he also said the turbos are so tiny u cant even tell you have a turbo it doenst push u to your seat when you floor it i understand it is like that stock but would it be like that with upgraded chip and exhaust? Is it really THAT weak?

the stock turbo is very small, yes...you really cant feel it in stock form, but with a chip and exhaust you will definitely start to feel the turbo...a stock IS300 has 215hp and weighs less than the a4 (~3200lbs vs. 3500 lbs), so it would take a big turbo to keep up with one. if you're looking for a car that's fast in a straight line, the audi a4 is not the car to be looking at. you're comparing a japanese rwd sports car to a european awd luxury sedan, they're two totally different cars.

Ok bent frame it definetly won't take a BT to beat a IS300 I know plenty of guys on audizize that have smoked them and they are also not sports cars they are in the same class as the A4

Alos graffixWB haha no offence but i didn't think anyone had Phaetons the only people I see driving them are dealer principles haha

a kid at my school has an is300...its soooo slow, i think a stock a4 could prolly beat it, although i havent been in a stock a4 in a while. Audi/vw are def not as reliable as jap cars, but they feel more solid and they ar emore fun to drive
