Lets be real...I like Euro cars just as much as the next person, in fact im in the process of buying an A4 but, to say that a stock A4 can beat a stock IS 300 is not very intelligent....Why cant ppl appreciate cars for what they are, as opposed to fighting over whether Euro's are better than Japanese cars?....A4's are great cars but they are certainly not at the top of the performance pinnacle....Chipped or not, I would still be doubtful that an Audi could beat a Lexus...Even the heavier GS 300/400/430 would kill an A4.

Oh wow congrats man! I looked it up and you were right, the is300 does 0-60 in 7.4, the 1.8t audi does 0-60 in 8.4 , is
1/4=15.5
a4 1/4=16.2

I guess i need to get a ride in a stock 1.8t again to see what its like

Yea...youre right though...The IS is kinda slow....I'd say the IS would edge out the A4, but not by much!

As far as turbo's go, I wouldn't throw all cars w/ turbos in the
same basket.

Audi does build weak parts and they also think their parts

are some great invention. This is also recognizing that parts do wear out.

Out of ownership of A100 and A4 and also classic 900 T SAAB.

313,000 miles on an 1985 I used to have. That was back when they
were oiled cooled.

I wouldn't be a Audi T for anything. 60,000 miles at best.

A4 Quattro YES

Audi has had a bad rap since the 80's the the 4 and 5000's.

Nothin has really changed since then.
