audio help..i think my after market amp is fried
kinda strange, ever since i changed my timing belt and all the amp is getting no power to it. all fuses on the amp and battery amp fuse are all good, the remote and the power cables are getting power and proper signal to them. the amp it self just doesnt turn on. no power to the thing.
i took the negative cable from the battery off during the timing belt install to be safe but never removed the fuse for the amp near the battery, would that have anything to do with it?? so ya no power to my amp, is it fried or does anyone know any tricks to fix it?
Thanks

how's your ground lookin? course that SHOULD blow a fuse, but it might just make it not work.
also, there are internal fuses on some amps that can blow. check your owners manual.
what kind of amp is it??

Does your remote turn on wire have voltage to it? Does the amp just sound weak? or does it just not turn on at all? Also there could be a low current protect built into the amp, so you might want to get a multimeter and check the amperage of the power wires.
