yes your car will rattle....., and if it dont now, sooner or later it will. Dynamat will help, but i got 2 jl w3v2 ands its not rattling on the outside nor inside, but i'm starting to feel that my car is going to fall apart lol.

I would loosen your license plate just a little so it rattles like a mid 80's, rusted out, $400 Cutlass with $4000.00 worth of stereo equipment in it. Theoretically Dynamat reduces the amount of rattle, but personally I'd spend the hundred bucks or so on a better amp and sub.

I have a single 12 Rockford Fosgate sub (not entry level one) and it does not rattle. The headboard does rattle however. I've taken this to many different top audio shops in CT and no one has been able to address this issue (and no dynomating did not help in my case). Just something to consider.

The sound in front seats is simply amazing. From outside, a little of the rattle is heard. If trunk is open/and windows are down, the system is just beautiful sounding

Hmmm, my 500/1 and 10W7 go in on saturday... along with my type X components, and alpine MRV-540 4 chan amp... and my alpine 7897 head unit. The w7 sub OWNS though... had it hooked up in my buddies GTI, and it was insanely nice. For a sub that hits so damned hard, it is amazingly clear -- no distortion! Course, its JL's top of the line stuff... so it should perform eh? But yeah, I hope to god my car doesnt rattle, or I'll be underneath it, and inside it, with a tube of loc-tite, going crazy with the stuff. :P

Doesn't it just look crazy? Mmm... saturday can't come soon enough!

I have a 10w7 powered by a JL 500/1. There is no word to describe how much it kicks ***. I had it professionally installed and have very little rattling that I can hear inside my car.

Of course, when the music is about halfway up, I can't hear anything.

I've had no rattle in either my sedan or avant when I installed a sub.
