a friend of mine has 2 12" audibahn subs and wants to get rid of one. just wondering if anyone has any opinions on this brand and if it would it be worth getting. Also, what kind of amp would i need to get for just 1 12" sub? ive never done any type of aftermarket car audio work before so any input is welcomed.

 

what wattage and what RMS does the sub put out?

 

i live in oc and alot of people have huge stereos at my school and they dont like audibahn. I think they will be fine but it is nothing compared to JL's or something along that line.

 

difference between JL and AudioBahn...JL top of the line really nice subs and amps...AudioBahn basically a system that u get to have BUMP and so it shakes ur car...it won't have the quality sound that the JL subs make but ull still have the BUMP if u want it...also prices example- say u want 2 subs and an amp...JL- 2 12 inch JL W3's, has 250 watt RMS, 500watts peak(not sure though), $220.00 a piece; plus JL 250/1 amp $400.00= $840.00 plus headunit...Audiobahn- 2 12 inch Audiobahn AW1251T, has 400 watt RMS, 800 watt peak $100.00 a piece; plus audiobahn A8000T amp(400 RMS, 800 watt peak- $399.00= $600.00 plus headunit...that would b if u went to a shop and buy it...online u could get that same audiobahn system for $300.00 online for a 800 watt system thats half decent....site-http://www.onlinecarstereo.com

i never said that Audio Bahn was better then JL...JL is better then Audio Bahn by far...i was looking at going JL but the kind of system i get would b all out...so y spend all that extra money when u can get system that BUMPS and u could spend the extra money from NOT getting a JL Audio system on a chip or exhaust because depending what u want ull save ne where from $200-$800(on a normal system not some show car)...remember its an sporty audi not a "spinning on 24's Escalade"...

 

thanks for the input. i wont be in any competitions or anything, just want to add depth to my music. i think this audiobahn will work out well being thats its cheaper and i can put more money toward performance mods.

 

i had a audiobahn befor a single 12" 1000 watt sub and its nice and durable, its bumps alrite, response to the bass was good but my MTXs was better, but i love how the audio bahns looks

 

I have owend audiobahn and you can get them to sound good if they are in a box that is to spec.
The only thing is that you will have the same system that all hond guys have.
I just instald all JL in my A4 and it is buy far the loudest,cleanest, system I ever owned
