Hey, I have a 1997 a4 2.8 w/ auto

how difficult would it be to swap it out with a manual transmission?

i hate automatic

also where i am living people dont appreciate audis very much, so even though i have triend to sell it i havent been able to.

 

you would mainly need a new tranny, interior work, and ecu. Already pretty pricey and that will probably triple if you have to pay someone to do it for you.

 

Put an ad up on the internet; like AutoTrader.com or Cars.com. To be honest, swapping out the tranny is not going to be worth the cost.

 

yea i researched it... and it would end up being like 5-6k... not worth it.. im fixing to sell mine and buy a 01 s4

ive changed my plan and it is to keep this audi until i move back to Oregon next summer and then get an s4 or something

 

Yeah might as well just get another car, its possible to swap out but very expensive and time consuming on audi's.
I've done em on third gen camaros and firebirds, changing the engine to an LS1 and 6speed, those are hard enough i might cry if i did it to an audi.
