Default Auxiliary Fan Problem

Okay, so I know I am suppose to search before posting, per forum rules, but I feel I have exhausted all options. I have searched for a week to no avail and tried to PM other members to no response.

So basically, my auxiliary fan (aka radiator fan) is always on. It's always on even if the engine is cold and key on accessories position. Not only this, it seems that it is running on high . I've read that typically these tend to be caused by the sensor located on the lower radiator (driver's side). Naturally, I tried to go this route. However, upon further research, I read that if I disconnect the wire to this sensor, the fan should stop. However, my fan still is on even if the sensor is disconnected.

I'm not sure if this is related but my A/C isn't kicking in. I originally thought that it was a condenser problem. However, I read the manual and it says that the A/C will shut itself off if the conditions in the engine bay gets too hot. Could the two have any connection? Maybe the car erroneously thinks the engine bay is too hot so it cranks the rad fan and cuts the A/C.

I know VCDS is a must in diagnosing but I just got the car and I have been lazy in getting one. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
