Default AWE X-mas Sale

I was looking around a while ago on the forums for info on AWE's K04 kit. I stumbled upon a post that mentioned AWE has an X-mas sale each year. The post that I found quoted a price of 1399 for the K04 kit. considering the time the post was made that was for x-mas 2004.

Does anyone know other deals that AWE has over x-mas? Do they lower the price on their GIAC chips? Tip-Chips? or anything else - just wondering if its usually the same thing every year.

Since I have a tip I have chosen to not go K04 - one for money and another for fear of the tiptronic having problems - I'm going to go Giac, Exhaust, DV, FRP, tip-chip, maybe DIY FMIC mod.

Youd get a lot more use and output from your chip/engine if you had a better flowing exhuast. An AWE/Borla exhuast for example?

Just for my own curiosity - onepoint8tee - what kind of times do you put up with your set-up 0-60 and 1/4 mile if you can guess that would be great.

And bishop - what kind of numbers do you think that I could do with the K04

Just want to see how much more 1200 gets me

well i can tell u right now that u wont be spending just 1200 if u want the k04 setup. i just got the k04 setup for my 01 a4 in september and spent $4500. but that was goin from just having an exhuast to doing everything at once. i got dahlback software & chip wit the k04, dahlback intake, 386cc injectors(which is one thing u will need to run right wit the k04), exhuast manafold bored out, and catless downpipe. it was an expensive upgrade but i would have to say a very very happy upgrade. i have yet to dyno it but some friends seem to think ill be just under 300whp but im thinking more along the lines of 260whp or so. but i thinks its well worth the money. im running around 25 psi and just has rediculous power it surpised the **** out of me when i first got it back

He's saying that he thinks you spent way too much money for your setup - I mean if I count everything up right.........

k04$830 eBay
Exhaust $700-AWE
5-bar FPR $80
GIAC K04 chip $600 (quote from AWE for software only)
Gaskets and other stuff $40
injectors 440cc - $200 - green top
no Idea about down pipe(200?) or the manifold(200?) - maybe you could enlighten us

I only get $2450

what were asking is where the other $2,000 went? FMIC? Install? a BJ from the girl at the counter - I mean dam
