It doesnt matter new or old. do you have a boost gauge? usually bov are made to run on import car that run 12-14 psi of boost so maybe the spring is to tight and its not releaseing any air. This is very very very very very bad. The more boost you run the louder the "swoosh" or "pssht" or "cheeesh"

if you are stock, 9psi is not exactly a lot of boost to be trying to get a "swoosh" or "psssht" or "Cheeesh", or even a "boyawanguhwang " for that matter... though I have heard that last one on some tricked out Kia's

While my car's in the shop, I borrowed my mother's Daewoo. Never have I driven a car that was more like a golf cart, in terms of engine noise, handling, convenience, and stereo quality. I think golf carts have more acceleration too. The tach goes up to about 9,000, but you can't get it to shift after 5,000, no matter what gear or how hard you push the pedal.
