Damn. Glad to hear you and your passengers are ok.
A friend of mine does body work, including frame straightening. He has no problem straightening Japanese and domestic frames. BMW's and VW's take longer. The Audi frames are so strong he breaks chains rated at 10,000 lbs.
There's a video of a TT getting side swiped by a dump truck then rammed by a bus with the driver suffering minor injuries. A local Audi guy in his S4 got tagged by a Jeep and ended up going into a ditch and rolling 3 times. All he got was a scratch on his head and bruise on his arm.
After hearing about those accidents and hearing about the body construction, I doubt I'll buy any car other than an Audi.

RIP audi, +1 to the audi safety.glad you and your pals are alright.what happened to the other guy though, i heard from consumer reports the charger got a pretty shi1ty side impact rating.

I say that lightly, because it looks like his door was "consumed" by the front of the Audi.

Sorry to hear about that man. Another +1 for how strong these cars are built A little over a month ago, I was in a similar accident but I was the one who was T-Boned, and was probably going around 60mph. Still suprises me that I was able to walk away with a few scratches, and a minor concussion, and glad to hear that you guys are ok.Some of youguys may remember seeing these pics. Anywho, I just upgraded to an 04 1.8t Ultrasport. Go bigger if you got the money imo.
With regards to what you said about everyone falling in love with the first car they owned, mine was a 1987 Chevy Celebrity Station wagon. Needless to sayI dropped it like a bad habit as soon asIgot half way through my senior year ofhigh school.

+100 on audi safety...
i took (well my friend was driving) a turn at 75mph and slammed a curb, surprised the car didnt flip, nobody even got a bruise from it. the car was totalled but me and my friend werent even phased.
i had my own RIP thread...
AND FOR MY NEW CAR : I got a new Audi, IDENTICAL to my old one, just 5 years newer... went from a 96 to 01, best decision I have ever made... I put the same rims/grille/lowering kit/m3lip/system in it... its like I never lost my baby, I just got the cool headlights/sideskirts/sidemarkers/interior
