What can a stock B5 1.8TQM take on the street easy, and I dont mean stupid cars but sporty cars? Could it take a stock 2006 Civic Si? How about a 2006 V6 Mustang? I just need to know where the car's perfomance is stock. Also, what can it take after simple bolt ons and what not. I know this is vague but that is the best way I can ask it.

 

not fas at all, best put its peppy. it will probably keep up with an si. best bet, gt28rs, chip and exhaust, amazing power gains and what iveusuallyseen on the 1.8t/

 

So with what cars is this car on par with then?

 

Civic Ex, Nissan Sentra SE. its basically audis base model, it was originally built as a cheaper alternative to the v6, but thanks to tuners, enthusists, and a turbocharger, it opens doors to alot of power potential.

 

ya dude its about as fast as a non turbo eclipse (95-99).... it runs a 16.5 in completely stock form which is pretty darn slow. you will get beat by trucks and mini vans when stock, lol.

 

chip it tho and you'll instantly get 50 hp and be on par with more cars

 

chip, exhaust, test pipe or high flow cat if your state has emmisions, gt28rs, intercooler, chip, and new injectors and you will had a pretty bad car for a luxuary sedan. You can get over 350 hp in your car not bad considering they are stock with only 150. Chip is the biggest difference after getting chipped I got a vac leak which cause my car to kick me back down to stock if I floor it too long and when that happens I feel like Im crawling but Im not, I'm just no going as fast as with the flash still intact. Big difference and only like $600

 

yeah, stock we are prettymuch on the bottom of the food chain. There are not too many cars now a days that cant beat a stock 1.8T.... sad I know..... just do some mods.
