I don't mean to thread jack, but since we're talking about brakes...
I have an 07 A4, and it has about under 7900 miles.
It already squeeks or whatever sound you want to call it when I brake... usually only when i'm about to stop.[X(]

If it's regular souding (as in not pings or anything) then it's common brake squeel. A4's (and a lot of German/European cars) are notorious for this. You might try different pads or doing a search here for other solutions.
