best way to get the rear speakers out on a b5? i played with it a little on my lunch break today but couldnt get it. lookin to get some infinitis all around. any help? btw...does anyone else have nokia speakers that say audi on them?

 

you have to remove the entire rear deck..

ohh i know : ) did you run an amp to the speakers or no? speakers are 6.5" all around right? or 165mm on foreign sites.

 

the fronts are 5-1/4 i believe back 6-1/2

 

Fronts are 4"

 

are the tweeters 3/4?

 

fronts are 5 1/4", but there are custom mounts for bose so it's hard to fit another 5 1/4" in there. or so im told

 

go to www.crutchfield.com ... I swear I'll never buy anything car audio related anywhere else, ever. (No I dont work for them :-P) I've gotten a few recievers and speakers from them, and they include everything you would need for the install... detailed instructions, adapters, accessories, etc. If you go to 'outfit my car', it's great, you can see everything that fits with a certain car. I was planning on replacing the rear deck lid speakers myself (since the ones in my B5 are blown), but the suspension decided to **** the bed apparently so no happy mods in the next couple days / weeks for me. do not under any circumstances try and put 5.25's in the doors, you need 4" ones and you will have to make a custom bracket, because genuis audi uses 3 screws, and any speaker company uses 4 to hold the speaker in, so the holes dont line up. i had a hell of a time with it. i also have a b5, and yeah, the back speakers are nokia as well. hope this helps
