Default B5 or B6?

Hi, I am new here and I have been searching for info on A41.8TQ's.
I do not own one yet but I am looking to buy one, and I need some extra info to help me with my decision.
Ok first, my goal is 350-400 bhp.
I like the B6 more than the B5, but I have read that B5's are better for modding because they are NDBW.
Is it possible to get a B6 up to my desired power level without having any issues with the DBW?
Oh, and also I have seen bigger MAF sensors for the B5, but not for the B6, will I need a bigger MAF for the B6, if I am running that much power?
Thanks in advance, Tony.

PS. i searched but I could not find anything conclusive.

i wouldnt say you cant get a B6 to that power level but its gunna be alot easier to do it with a B5 besides the b5s are just so much better lookin

any b5 after 99.5 is dbw

that is achiveable with a b6, and all supporting mods to your car, they are based on the tune, i know some tunes require a bigger maf (ctapp usually uses a maf off a ford lightning)

400 horses would be easier with a b5, but if you really must have a b6 its still possible

I'm a b6 guy... but if you wanna hardcore mod go cheap and find a nice b5.

Well I know about the later B5's being DBW, and I cant really say that I want to do some crazy stuff to the car, this is what I was thinking about doing:
Upgraded pistons and rods
Full turbo back exhaust
FMIC
Intake and DV
GT2871R turbo kit (not sure yet)
Chip and all the related fuel mods needed
Am I missing anything?
Badluck I agree with you on the looks,(B5 was initially my choice) but there are more things that I like about the B6 though, I like the headlights, vvt, interior, and dual exhaust, also the fact that it is newer than the B5's.

i dont think youd hit 400hp with those mods. you could go gt3071 or go tomritt and get a fat holset hx35. then youre pushing biiig power.
