The B5 all the way. its older but it is by far the best. the front of the b7 is ugly and for those that need front plates in their states it destroys the cars look.

 

I think B5's are my favorite closely followed by B7's and than B6's.

 

I'd have to say b6. a b6 with a ott. kit and some staggered 19's is pure sex. not to mention performance has pretty much caught up to the b5.

 

I like the look of the B5.

If I'm looking for a less sportier look, more show look, I would go for a B6.

B7 just looks like a typical today's car.

I'm biased.

I just bought a B6 in '07 for a reason: I don't care much for the B7 taillights, and definitely am not fond of the front grill/bumper. My B6 is black with black leather and aluminum trim package. I love how understated this series is.

Everybody I've taken for a drive in my car has fallen in love with it, which is trivial, but I can't say that any of the other cars I have owned in the past have ever garnered so many comments as my A4.

Now I'm obsessing on the new TT...

I'm sure I'll be "corrected" after I post but for my taste I rather the B7 over all. When I was looking for a new car, I concidered Volvo and BMW, but I didn't like the look of the new ones. I never liked the look of the Audi models until they made the change to the larger front end.
In Short, B5 (Never really liked), B6 Like the change of the rear but still not a fan of the front end, and then B7 - The one I finally bought and has turned me in to an Audi fan and brought me in to the Audi family.
