I'll beat your A4 and use it to get my B7 S4.

Then I will beat your B5 S4 with my B7 S4 and use it to get my B7 RS4.

.....But don't worry, I'll give both of you a ride wherever you need to go.

 

B6>B5 in every way except weight IMO coming from someone who's owned both. The b6 has a much nicer interior, thats not even up for debate, has a much more rigid frame, handles better, and looks better (opinion based) but you can't deny it has a more modern look. The b5 looks dated.

Oh, and the b7 has the best engine.

I think its funny how someone said to kill them if they ever had an unmodded b6. I'm sorry but an unmodded b5 is by far the ugliest A4. Granted they can look damn good just like any other A4.

Just so you don't think I'm biased I'll include a pic of my beloved b5.



Oh and here's what it looked like stock. I think we can all agree its pretty damn ugly.

 

This is like arguing which of the 3 hot sisters to nail - stupid and pointless, but still fun

B5 - ugly stock but can be modded to look good (like the nerdy girl in the movies that gets turned into a hottie)
B6 - good right out of the box, only gets better with mods
B7 - hit in the face by the ugly stick, but can be forgiven in the RS4

 

i've driven all 3 and i can safely say that driving my b5 is the funnest. and thats what i base my decision on. the b7's are very nice to drive but feel a little "detached" from the road. the b6's are the least fun to drive. i like the b7's interior the best tho, then b6, then b5. and looks b6, then b5, then b7. but i would take a b7 rs4 over anything. then a b5 s4

 

I ment in terms of performance. But this topic is an issue of personal taste. To me b5 rocks in and out.

 

As far as looks go, obviously its all opinion based. And I think they all rock inside and out, especially for the money, a used b5 and b6 is one of the best deals out there IMO.

 

The B7 is nice but it needs to shed some weight

 

and the groany rattle under acceleration. its annyoing as hell.
