i got both of mine working now and it looks awesome. i had to drill out the plastic housing so it can fit the bulb.

it was a fun project. i think i will do a write up for everyone. I got mine from AZ, but i think i can make it little bit more user friendly.

Oh and yeah DARE plates are lame now, the black ones were the best I think, flows with my car i love it ha....good thing it wasnt damaged when i got hit

 

forgive me if i m wrong, but it just looks to me from the pics like you have your rear fog on and thats it. i dont know why you would want both rear fog lights, as it defeats the purpose of a "rear fog light" you should only use your rear fog when its fogy/rainy and you are in the right lane so you can be seen by a car traveling at a high speed possibly wanting to pass you.....

 

First off i know very well what fogs are for. Second the pic was taken before i put the other bulb in and before i drilled the housing so the bulb can fit.

As of now both fog lights light up when you hit the brake, along with the bottom brake lights.

mine doesnt have the metal connection for the other fog light. hmmmm. I think some do and some dont. not too sure.

ok I read the DIY but what i'm saying is that my car isnt wired to hold a bulb in that fixture. I know i can drill out the plastic and put a bulb in but what I need is to have something in the socket to hit the bottom of the bulb and send it power. any ideas?

 

I just bought altezas for my 2000 a4 and it comes with all the bulbs even for the right fog light side, so when I am driving I just hit the right fog light button for front and back and it looks great, when I hit the brakes they get brighter and then the third brake light lights up, I love it, no drilling required or soldering, just had to shell out eh $90 for the lights. You also have to like the way altezas look on the car. I DO!!!

 

my 97 has dual rear fog lights....suckers.....lol...

you have got to be kidding me. altezza's are the symbol of RICERS! they do NOT look good on audi's.
