I assume he set up the poll because the prices of the B5s4 and B6 A4 are comparable. He wants to know what you guys would buy in a real world situation with limited cash in hand.

In my case I think I would take the B6 2.0. I think mainly because I am tired of the B5 interior - have had 2 of them now... Still, hard to pass up the tunable monster...

 

wait I thought there was no B6 2.0? I agree... it would be nice to have a B6 it would be nicer to have an S4 with BT setup and a bunch of goodies to blow the doors off of porches.

 

yeah - not sure if there even was a B6 2.0. Probably some crossover models during the change from B6 to B7.

 

There is no B6 2.0T engine.

 

A B5 s4 would be awesome. If I didn't like the b6 bodystyle much more I would have a b5 s4. The A4 will be more reliable, but I think it really just comes down to the bodystyle. If you like b5's, the s4 is the way to go. That engine is amazing.

I think its a great comparsion. They cost almost exactly the same used, and they are both Audi's. I had to make the same desicion.

 

If your a speed nut with cash then yes, the b5. But then again if your a speed nut with cash you wouldn't be asking this question. You are way better off getting a b6. Bigger, more solid, newer, better looking. Theres just no comparison. Everyone that has a b5 bashes b6s, it'll never stop. But the bottom line is, the b6 is a totally reworked b5. I had a b5 for 7 years, when I got my b6 it made my b5 seem like a camry in every way.

 

well i would get the b5 s4 becuase wiht little money you can make it go much faster then you could the 1.8t motor
