Default B5 Vs. B6

2000 B5 Vs. 2002 B6
Both 1.8T manual transmissions.

Any pros and cons of either one: reliability, build quality, mod friendly?
Thanks
ps. How is 6 speed tranny stronger than 5 speed?

B5 99.5 & \/ = mod friends, much lighter, smaller. ***
B5 00 & /\ = lighter
B6 = Muchhotter but heavy ( you can use revo for tuning which is always nice) and I believe they have LSD but i'm not too sure.
I say go with the B5 for the weight.
6 spd better for really big turbos, 5 spd = less shifting. I haven't heard of anyone popping their tranny by beating on it. talk to tomritt. he's got some power and beats on his tranny

The B6 will most likely have fewer problems. It also has a much nicer interior in my opinion.

They are both nice, just go with whatever body style you like more. Obviously the b6 will cost you more.
