I have seen these words used many times in this forumn. Can someone explain what these are?

I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T....is that a b5 or b6?

 

B6 models are those produced after 2002. Most people prefer the OLD B5 style, which has been repeated many times in a number of threads , but not I. B6 all the way!

exactly, B5/B6 refers to the body style.

95-01 = B5
02-05 = B6

the trunk lid/taillights are the most distinguising feature to tell these two makes apart if your not that familiar with the A4

 

theres also the 8E platform and this forum is bias and favors the B5 but its B6 for me

Dave what are you looking at for hp with the 300, my buddy has one and it is QUICK. Tire smoking fun right there.

 

Oh yeah, and i wish these b6 guys would just realize that the b6 will never compare to the b5, its just not possible.
