i have a 2001 1.8t quattro tipronic stock base model and my friend who brought a 2002 3.0 quattro tipronic stock base model.
when i drove his car i thought it would feel like an audi with the luxury better then B5's but i was wrong. besides the little thing it didnt fell like and audi to me belive it or not i felt like i was dring my friends gti vr6. my doors you gently pull door closes and locks are so gentle you cant hear them, but on the b6 doors you have to pull hard and when doors lock its no diffrent from vw's locks the door with that hard lock sound. seats on his 2002 a4 is unconfortalble i have to turn my *ss side to side because of unconfort but one thing i liked was the heated seats in theback. besides us, when my friend with the gti drove both of the cars he said that 2001 1.8t quattro was a smooter ride then the 2002 3.0 and i felt the same.[sm=jawdrop.gif] overall i thought the car should of been built like and audi not a vw since audi is upgrade. i donno if the went cheaper or w.e. i wasnt intrested in the b6's i can go on and on with the diffrences but what do you guys think? no offense to the B6 drivers[sm=sorry.gif]

 

i think your friends 3.0 might have some engine problems cause they should be smooth engines

 

I drove a few b6's and they seemed smooth and confortable to me..

 

i totally disagree, i have an 04 b6 and the ride is pretty smooth and comfortable and I do have a VW jetta as a beater that i drive everyday to compare it to

btw the doors on the B6 Own the B5 doors.

 

B6's are much smoother than b5's.

and yeah.. b6's are effin sweet... much better ride... dunno about "smoother" as their motors are nearly identical... although the 3.0 IS buttery smooth... but yeah... surprised...

When i think of a b6 I think of a bigger, smoother, more comfy a4. You so off dude.

 

I agree. My good friend has a B6, not sure which engine, but it definately feels nicer than my 97 overall... Or newer at least, more updated and "current"...
