BTW, i just bought myself an early christmas present.... FMIC and i will have dyno results after the install...
you wont see any gains with a FMICon a dyno. a fmic will decrease your horsepower on the dyno cuz you will never have enough air flowing through it to even get it to work.
But will decrease heat soak in the real world right?

maybe. depends the front mount gets alot more heat from the engine than the factory side mount does. he should have gotten an RS4 intercooler. you can get single intercoolers for like $400.

Normally they have theses huge things called fans blasting the front of the car with 70+ mph of air. And the side mount will get enough air compared to the FMIC while doing the dyno run, don think so. The car isn't moving forward, its on rollers. Id love to see a dyno to prove this theory.

so what??? you are saying that i am a moron for getting a FMIC, instead of two side ones, like the RS4... as far a i know the RS4 has 2 innercoolers, one for each turbo, other wise it would have one innercooer

Guess i felt that i had to stick up for the B6's, no one else seem to be.... Us B5's and B6's are equally cool, otherwise there wouldn't be people out their buying them and customizing them to their likings, so i guess what i am really trying to say is that both of our cars a built equally as beautiful in their own ways... I orginally wanted an A4 in high school, found a 96 A4 at a dealer, had them hold the car over the weekend w/a downpayment, before we got back to the dealer they had sold the car under our noises.... instead i waited and when the new ones came out i liked that they upped the horsepower, changed the turbo, and made the frame all out of aluminum... But for some reason i am able to play w/older S4's and M3's Not sure why, but there is always a chance it is driver skill.....Once i get my dyno, i'll post the results and see what all of you see......
