Whats up with all the racing?... our cars are designed to look cool and be moderately fast... but mostly to look cool.
Admit it, were driving "pick-up" cars.
BMW Motorsports are built for performance, and we Audi owners got the S4> to represent for us.
However, if your A4 can hang with the 'big boys' then kudos to you.

bro, no doubt girls like our cars...hell, guys like our cars...actually, i can't think of a single girl or guy who has seen my car that doesn't love it.

heh, but audi's aren't just for picking up girls...they certainly help...but honestly you shouldn't be relying on you car to help your social life.

i got my audi cause it's the safest car on the road, i think it's the nicest looking, AND it has fantastic performance, yeah, performance. is it fast? hell no. but it drives like a dream.

Seriously though, Audi's are engineered to be safe, usually reliable, and driven at high rates of speed. I love my car. None of my friends have anything close, I am 23 and even my Fiancee's parents love it. If I were to get away from the Audi brand, it would be to BMW... but I don't think that'll happen until I own a RS4 avant :P

 

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that our cars are not performance cars... but there is a certain aesthetic to driving an Audi.
Like what was pointed out in this thread, unless you are one of the few who spend incredible amounts of money to defy expectation, leave the racing to the big boys.
I just don't think our cars are suited for racing, especially if being compared to a car on another level of performance.
A4's are classy, sporty, and definitely, fun... but not naturally fast (unless you spend... a lot... which is also true for any car).

you don't compare a A4 to a M3 no you compare a S4 to a M3 as where you compare a A4 to a 3 series the #'s are pretty close and Audi has been in the racing scene for a long time now so I don't know where your thinking comes from but it is completly wrong

 

lol yea thats an S4 not an A4 big difference

 

anything is possible, u can get a level ten tranny and buy the ecodetuning GT71R turbo kitand FMIC and some other parts
but 5000 isnt gonna cover it
