B6 Rims
are any of the B6 guys running 19's while lowered? my friend just got a 2003 A4 1.8T (FWD) and was thinking about getting a set of staggered 19's 8.5 up front and 9.5 in the rear. he's also lowered on H&R springs so i was wondering if there would be any rubbing issues. TIA.
I got the Conti Sport 2's on my 03 with the sport package. They were amazing tires , even in the rain.
But I wore them out waaaayy too fast. And the were to expensive for me to buy agian.
One of them even blew on the highway. It stayed inflated due to the speed. lol

haha, no doubt they are amazing tires... nobody complains about how they perform, its how they wear! Lifespan of a housefly! people were getting like 25K miles out of them max, I think... some were as low as 10K miles with semi-aggressive driving. I had the chance to get them for 350 CDN for all 4, take offs with about 15 miles on them (guy thought he could get away with using them year round, and had them installed in winter -- in a riced cavalier, go figure)
haha, he was dreaming... well, wait... what size of tire were they? these were only 16's... 205 55 16's.
so somebody wanting 360 a piece... (5 for 1800)... isnt completely psycho if they were 18's or something, and brand new or as new... but factor in installation... I dunno. You could definately do better.
I didnt touch them for less than 100 a tire... the reviews were that bad, in the wear dept. My concern in a tire is long life, and low noise... I am not so concerned with performance.

The weight in the wheels would be neglible... quattro, if i'm not mistaken, tries to keep all wheels spinning at the same speed... its a mechanical system (whereas electronic systems detect slippage, then correct it)... quattro is constant, and just keeps wheels spinning at the same speed.
what WOULD screw with the quattro, is not wheel/tire width, but staggered diameters... like 18's up front and 19's in the rear, if the tire size used made for a different overall diameter.
Staggering width shouldnt be an issue with quattro
