Default B7 brake light problems

for some reason my brake lights stay lit even after i turn off the car, and today when i was driving the car for some reason, the car would seem to downshift or self-brake while cruising. then when i tried to correct this by applying some gas to speed up there was zero throttle response even thought the car would rev to about 4k and stay there. then when i would release the gas for about 2 seocnds or so the car would correct itself. has this happened to anybody else? I have a 2005.5 A4 2.0T with CVT.

The brake pedal (not Break peddle (Audi owners are notoriously bad spellers) switch is likely broken.
