B7 Headlight removal!

Default B7 Headlight removal!

Does anybody know of a DIY or any tips on removing the B7 headlight???

Try removing the front bumper for starters.

All im doing is putting in HID's. Is there any simpler way to do this than removing the enitre bumper??

Not without breaking it, the B7 headlights are actually huge! The headlight reaches about 2 inches under the front bumper so you can't sneak them out trust me (had to pay for a set [:'(])
The front bumper isn't really that hard to take off anyway.

Im trying to put the bulb in through the back of the headlight it seems to be very hard! Is it possible to even do?

You would have to remove the power steering resivior on the drivers side, and the passenger's side you have to remove the air box, its much easier to just remove the front bumper.

I got the bulbs in any suggestions on where to put the Ballasts???/?

Well the factory ones are bolted to the headlamp, i would just make sure its secure and the wiring doesn't get in the way of any moving parts.

Ocadam,

Ok I think I am in the same situation you were in.What did you do to install them and where did you place the ballasts? I am able to place the bulbs in the housing without removing the headlights (what a pain in the *** that is), but I have no room to place the ballasts that I can see.

Did you have to remove the headlights? If so, how do you do it?

I also sent you PM regarding this.

Hope you can help.
