hey i owe a 2004 a4 with evo intake and magnaflow exhaust. my problem is wen iam using the tiptronic and are in like 5 or 6th gear and floor it my car kinda hesitates and sounds like it back fires and ideas why or whats wrong?

 

do you have a mid muffler?

 

have you tried using any injection cleaner? I had a similar problem on a 2.5tdi and it was doing also doing it in the upper rev range. poured the injection cleaner in and the problem has been solved.

Sounds like you are running rich. Check for codes even though the check engine light isn't on.

 

i have the full magnaflow exhaust so i do beleive it included mid muffler. but wat cleaner do you recomened or should i get the dealership to look at it?

 

Don't take it to the dealership. Go to an Autozone and ask them to scan it for codes. Post them back here.

When you floor the car, does the transmission downshift?

 

yes wen i floor it the car does down shift then hesitates and back fires. does it cost anything to get it scaned?

 

Check for a leak on your system between from airfilter to turbo. if there is a leak, you will deff. run rich.

you can use seafoam to clean your injectors. you can find it in any auto store.

 

as requested before did you remove any silencers / mid resonator box, what type of system do you have???

 

i have the cat back exhaust from magnaflow but ill check the intake thanks
