Default back to stock we go...

And so begins the longass journey to bring my avant back to stock...
It turns out that while my tranny flush/fill made my tip shifts smooth as butter, it did not fix my occasional 3rd gear slip. Looks like the car is destined for Carmax.

Not looking forward to this... removal of carputer, stereo/speakers/integrated sub, suspension, chip, air filter, shift ****, wheels, mirrors, 1 pc headlights... omg what a ton of work... dunno if it will be worth it to part it out.

sadness... but on a brighter note - maybe an S4 is in my future.

Havent tried that spare tcu... never even crossed my mind.
Worth a shot. Good call, Tee.

I am not taking any dibs on anything yet. When I start the process I will list it as it is removed from the car.

I will probably start looking for another car in Sept - 2004 S4 if I can find one I want.

Damn... I bet if you REALLY wanted to keep your car, you would have remembered about that spare tcu! Not that its the solution though... Itching for a new ride eh?

LOL! You caught me! I actually doubt the other tcu will help, but just as well to try and see.

Yeah I am itching, have been for a while. Now that the wedding and all that jazz is over, I can get back to normal. S4 is definitely my next car, but getting the one I want, now thats gonna be tricky. What I'm looking for is going for around 29K. Thats a lot of cabbage...

N/A ?? Well the big V8 is calling...
If I could find a 2001/2 S4 Nogaro Blue avant with less than 50K miles I'd jump on that so fast...
But chances of that are sooo slim.
