Bad 1/4 mile time*video
Well I went to Sacramento raceay last night and ran the A4. I was dissapointed with my 16.7 @88mph. Iknow these arent't straight line cars but I thought it would atleast be in the 15's. Maybe once I put the new clutch in and can launch it without frying the clutch. I had to take it easy so I didn't slip it. My 60ft. was a terrible 2.8 (ironicly). Ohwell, I didn't buy this car for speed. The mph is high for a 16 sec. car.
Yeah I had never ran it and with the altitude change (6,000 ft), it's a different car. I just had 2 runs as it was packed so I didn't get a chnace to play with the launch rpms. I'm sure I can run a mid 15 with some trial.
No, Sacramento isn't but Tahoe is and that's where I am. I am used to taking off ok up here but you lose roughly 5% of your hp for every 1,000 ft. you go in altitude so I gain quite a bit going down to Sac, it's totally different car. I only went for a couple of hours and it was slammed so I only got 2 runs and didn't have time to practice down there.I was shifting about 5500-6000. My launches weren't the best as I didn't want to fry the clutch with too high of an rpm or bog it.
I have a G2 in the garage but I have alot of work to do on my Formula and it's taking up time and money right now. Once that's done and I buy a new clutch for the Audi, then I'll put it on. I wanna do the s/c and clutch at the same time.
