Well i have a automatic 06 a4 and i wanted to do a few things such as get a new exhaust, chip, and air intake, but is it good or bad idea since its an automatic? Will everything work the same? Hit me back [IMG][/IMG]

I'm in the process of modding mine, and I'm not thinking twice about it...

I've got an intake and exhaust, and it's running like a champ... No problems at all.

 

As long as ur not going BT your gonna be fine

 

you keep it below 300 or so and you shouldn't have to much to worry about some of th eother members have better numbers and knowlage about moding the autos.

 

yeah - you just need to watch the amount of torque you throw at the auto tranny. Other than that you can mod til your ***** hurt.

i hear the b7 tiptronic is the same as the one on the S4
i think ur good as long as u dont have a CVT

 

like someone said earlier, you should be good up to 300hp/tq

 

The mods you are planning on shouldnt give you enough gains that you would have to worry about the tranny holding up. However, does that sort of thing void your warranty? cuz that would suck.

 

no it doesnt, well it voids the old parts... but your putting on new parts so who cares anyways... but the chip is a different story, they cant void the whole thing but if there are parts that need to be replaced by strain on the parts that could have been a result from the chip, they will investigate and not cover those items under warentee... exhuast and intake however are completely legit
