do you know how much a brand new K03 is from the dealer like $2000 when you can get a new K04 for $700

 

found a used ko3 on ebay for $100, but the reserve wasn't met yet...

i could swap the turbo np... if i can get one...

 

that is kinda iffy becuase you could be buying another blown turbo

 

he said its in good condition, only 20k on it, he's swappin it cuz he k04'd

 

and people on ebay never lie to sell their stuff right?

I understand being on a budget, but you could probably end up paying more in the long run. If you can get something from AZ that'd be the route I'd take. Post in their forums asking for a K03, with everyone going BT i'm sure there are a bunch sitting there doing nothing that someone may be nice enough to hook you up with.

you can find lightly used k04's for 400 if you look around

 

Go K04 if you're already chipped, you can drive the car like that and upgrade to E05-spec equipment as you go.

If you aren't already chipped, **** y'all, leave him alone. If he can't buy a K04, quit telling him he should. You'll never ride in his k04'd car, so why does it matter to you?
