Default Badge delete option

The previous owner of my car had the badge delete option selected when he bought it. It's cool and all, but I just realized that I don't even have the Quattro badge on the grille. Is that part of the delete option? I don't mind, I was planning on replacing it with the DTM badge (+10hp!) because none of the tools around here even have a clue as to what I drive (they are pretty much all domestic ricers.)

I'm curious, did they charge the customer for a "badge delete" option (this is the first time I hear about it)? I remember buying the Quattro badge for my front grill after getting it smashed by a chunk of ice and I was pretty appaled at the price tag (I don't remember the price but I remember my reaction). Also I recently bought a set of front and rearrings to paint them black and the price tag on all that plastic is a bit too much. When you think about it, badge delete option should be a refund to the customer!!!

Both Audi and BMW offer the badge delete option (call your dealership if you don't believe me) although it might only be offered on certain models/trims. Volvo actually offers it, too, on a select few of their cars. Its a no-cost option, but think of all that weight I'm saving!
