1. carfax the car to check. or just look under the hood and if it says 5V on both sides then its a 30V. (5Vx6 Cyl.=30V)
2. no mod is gona give you significant gains except for a supercharger. shoulda got a 1.8T
3. nope but it won't give u much horse anyway so not much of a point

okay so i found out that its 30v so that means i got an okay 190 HP which is faster stock compared to the 1.8T which makes you run into problems due to the turbo.
Now im not saying I want a tremendouse difference, but will I feel a lil improvment when I put my foot down on the accelerator?
as far as a chip and K&N intake?

slap a chip on a 1.8T and its faster than the v6. with a giac chip your ride will become smoother and you'll notice the most gains in the upper RPM's. its not a huge difference but its noticeable...not worth the 300 bux in my opinion.

that first statement had nothing to do with the rest of the post. i meant the power will be smoother through the rpm's not your ride will be smooth. you notice some power gains in the lower rpm's but mostly in the higher. intake will probably give you another 10 HP, nothing too big but its not much money either. if i were you i'd get a chip, intake, custom exhaust, pulleys, and then save up for the supercarger if you want a big difference.

I hate to say it, but get rid of the 30v unless you have a few grand to drop on a SC setup. Not only does the 1.8 get better fuel mileage, there's TONS of mods for it that are actually effective.

go with giac for the chip. cant go wrong with k&n. pulleys i really have no idea.
chip will run you 300 and install should be cheap as hell. intake is around 40 and u can install urself. pulleys- the only ones i found were 300 and i think they're a b1tch to intstall so u might wana skip that one. so all together installed your prolly lookin at around 800 and your not getting that much horse out of it. or you could get a 1.8T drop a chip in it for 400 and get close to the same performance. another 400 and you'll be putting out more than what you can do in a v6 (besides supercharging)
