you guys dont have awd so nevermind.

I have awd and my highway is just fine. yes it has more gusto in 1st and 2nd but 3 and 4 are gutless. when the car shifts into 3rd its crappy from a punch until it downshifts and then goes.

You must have never ridden in a fast car, bc this car is not a highway car. They lose too much power to be really fast up top. Yes it is quick up top, but nothing like down low bc the gear ratios in the 1.8 tranny are soooooooooo close.

my guess is that it went like this.....juice prob launched 4 cars off the line then the bike was prob pulling like crazy on him and by the time he woulda passed juice, the race was over.

Yeah im not understanding the people who are saying harley's are slow compared to most cars.. I have ridden on one and it was crazy fast 0-60 in the blink of an eye it seemed.. It had bags on the back too

Yeah, he wasn't racing you unless that was a Rupp mini bike and not a Harley. Harley's have ***** (when they're not broken...j/k) and would kill a stock audi. I've run against a stock Harley with my 900cc 102hp stock Triumph, and although I was ahead of the harley most if not all of the way- it wasn't that far off. And needless to say, even a 500 lb. bike with 75hp will walk all over a heavy, "underpowered" german car...

I have owned a 87 modded gt stang and a very fast dsm in my lifetime. as well as driving all sorts of fast cars working for a ford dealer. I never said it was a highway car but the pep on the highway can be OK at times. Its a 5 speed tranny they have to be close.

It shocks me to hear how many of us (like myself) have had/have a fast DSM..........

My GSX ran mid 12's on street tires all day, and could never keep up with any of the bikes at the track

Just because it is a five speed doesn't mean the gear ratios have to be so close. I don't believe I have ever seen a car that barely hits 34 in first, maybe 59 in second and 85 in third. That F*cking sucks, but maybe that is just me.

well the thing is is taht idk if it was a harely exactly. i just usually call all cruisers harleys. but it was a rather big bike and it did sound like he was squeezing it pretty hard. ya in a real race, he probably would have smoked me
