Is getting a chip really worth it? I mean, can you really feel that much increased accelaration and response? Does anyone know how much the 0-60 time would change if i got a GIAC chip?


EDIT: forgot to mention its a 2001 a4 1.8t

 

what car are you talking about, the 1.8 will see major gains from a chip its like a whole new car, the 2.8 doesnt get much but it does get a little better

 

5 audi drivers got killed last week because of they got turbonator instead of chip

poor guys...

 

lol cuz the turbonator had so much power it sucked them out of the drivers seat and in to the motor where they were chopped in to tiny pieces by the turbo then burnt to **** in the cylinders and then thrown out the exhaust where they were run over by cars following

 

thats not funny, i knew one of the 5 lol

 

well maybe you should have warned him, lol that will teach him, god will strike people with lightning if they try and put that **** on an audi.... he knows whats up

 

I know there is a lot of controversy on this issue, but what do you think is the best chip for the money. Im just a kid so i dont have an unlimited budget. I want something thats gunna give me the most bang for the buck.

 

GIAC all the way man, its the **** much more agressive and any of the others.... they dont claim as much power but you feel it way more than apr or any other

 

If you dont ever plan or even remotely think you will plan on getting a bigger turbo get APR if you do plan on getting a bigger turbo get GIAC.

APR has limited support for bigger turbos but I like their settings better on the K03 Turbo than GIAC's IMHO

 

Arp sucks in comparison to GIAC I rode in a friends Arp chipped 1.8 and it felt way slower than my Giac chipped 1.8
