What is the best motor as far as building it to the hilt? Is the 1.8 better than a 3.0 for example? is it better to stay light with the 1.8?

well, if money is no object, then it comes down to motor tranny, why wouldnt the 3.0 be better? its got more displacement, and a stronger tranny right? so supercharge it, and further supporting mods, and a 1.8T could never catch up... its sort of a stupid question... when you say "done to the hilt", obviously a motor with nearly twice the displacement and 2 more cylinders is going to come out on top. Maybe you should stick to rifles, and leave the cars to the rest of us.

the 1.8T has alot more potential then the 3.0 becasue it has a why larger range of products
the 3.0 only got a chip that gives about 10 HP
and intake
and a super charger that just came out
they dont have alot of parts for the 3.0

The weight? A b5 s4 is 300+ lbs heavier than a b5 a4... doesnt matter when you figure in the # of cylinders and the displacement. the 3.0L with the new supercharger, and chip, and exhaust, will be POTENT. Plus i'm sure other companies will come in, and offer more insane mods... check was showing me a CRAZY R32.

If money is no object for mods, and you are forced to pick between 2 blocks of equal sophistocation... you pick the bigger one. Durr.
