KW only goes up to B6, but upon reading previous threads, the B6 and B7 are similar in respect to coilovers. I was looking Bilstein, but I got confused of what to get amongst the product that they are offering.

Question:

KW - They offer Variant 1 and Variant 2.

Variant 1, is basically configured from the factory, advertised as sporty, yet comfortable, with pre-fixed dampening assembly from the factory, whereas the Variant 2, one has full control on establishing pitch and dampening.

Has anyone used either these two, and what is the difference in handling between the two?

Thanks in advance.

well the difference is what ever you set it to. becuase teh v2 is for tracking and people who want the most out of their cars. the v1 is best for people who want more from their car but dont have enough experience or track time to notice the small changes available with the v2

Im running the Koni coilovers from Stasis engineering. Damn nice..........Plus Stasis sets the damping for you so there is no cutting into the strut and removing the wheels to get it right.

I was looking at Koni, they are nice, but I'm more leaning into German made overs, if I can decipher Bilsten. I would get em' above all else.

I'd take Bilstein PSS9's over any coilover mentioned in this thread.
External dampening adjustment means it's oh-so-easy to adjust dampening...

I've got FK Koenigsports, which use Koni dampeners... I used to hate them, but since ramping up the dampening to a more aggressive setting (you've got to remove the coilover from the car, and remove the spring from the shock) I really like them now.
